Chispita Hummingbird and Ginger Bag
💓💛
Carry a piece of our land Costa Rica, a bag inspired by the beautiful and tropical beehive ginger flowers and, of course, the lovely Chispita Volcanera hummingbird.
This flower earned the name beehive ginger for its particular shape. It is not scientific or formal; it is a name that arose from the observation and creativity of the people in our town.
What appears to be a single flower is actually a group of small flowers so perfectly joined that they look like a beehive.
Although it is not a native flower, it has taken root in our land and has become a symbol of the biodiversity of Costa Rica. It is a reminder that our country is a sanctuary that gives life.
And the Chispita Volcanera hummingbird is no exception, as its name suggests, this hummingbird lives in the highest areas of the mountains of Costa Rica and western Panama, especially on the slopes of the volcanoes.
It is one of the smallest hummingbirds in the world, measuring only 7.5 cm long, smaller than your finger! Can you believe it?
